The European Social Fund (ESFi) Evaluation Team has published three programme evaluation reports. Evaluations are carried out to assess whether the ESF programme is achieving its objectives. They also provide evidence to improve the way ESF works.

This consultation seeks views on the design of the Regional Growth Fund, which was announced in the budget on 22 June 2010.

The paper sets the context for the technical funding system and methodology consultation – A Simplified Further Education and Skills Funding System and Methodology – that is being launched in parallel.
