The purpose of the Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities (NLDC) fund is to reach disadvantaged communities and individuals; to enable them to participate in learning and to support local voluntary and community sector organisations to develop their capacity to deliver learning opportunities for residents of disadvantaged neighbourhoods.

Committed to supporting new and existing providers within the scope of the Common Inspection Framework and Framework for Excellence, the LSCi run a project to support new and existing third sectori providers in meeting contractual requirements in relation to accurate self assessment and to enhance their quality assurance systems.

The National Offender Management Service (NOMS) was awarded ESFi Co-financingi Organisation (CFOi) status in February 2009 under the England ESF programme. NOMS is an executive agency of the Ministry of Justice. It will co-finance ESF activities in all nine English regions to develop the employability of offenders and ex-offenders to help them enter the labour market.

Ofcom has nearly completed its second round of community radio licensing. It is considering whether, how and when to invite applications for community radio licences for a third time.
