Outcomes Training

“Outcomes are the effects or changes brought about by the activities provided by an organisation … in recent years; both voluntary and community organisations (VCOs) and funding bodies have become increasingly aware of the value and benefit of becoming more focused on the outcomes of their work.” (Charities Evaluation Service website, 2007)

As part of the Big Coaching Project, North West Network (NWN) is offering free training to voluntary sector organisations on developing an Outcome focused approach.

The training will help you to:

  • Understand what outcomes are and what they are not
  • Communicate outcomes to others within their own organisaton
  • Identify outcomes relevant to their organisation’s work and to the work of other similar volunteering organisations
  • Increase their knowledge of ways to monitor outcomes
  • Increase their awareness of effective ways of introducing and implementing an outcomes focus in their own organisation

All Outcomes Training is delivered by NWN’s Outcome Champion James Hadleigh, who has been trained as part of the Charities evaluation services National Outcome Dissemination programme.
